Developing and promoting your own products takes work, but brand deals are arguably harder—

  • finding the deal
  • negotiating the deal
  • scheduling it
  • (rescheduling it)
  • crafting your video around it
  • shooting it
  • getting it approved
  • reshooting it…

…is it any wonder creators are feeling like overworked sales reps and beginning to burn out?

It’s all work, but how long will you continue to be okay with having someone over your shoulder dictating:

  • when you’re going to do it, and
  • how you’re going to do it?

To say nothing of the risk to personal reputation you take each time you promote a brand you have no say in (looking at you, Honey and FTX).
